The Port of Tromsø monitors the Coronavirus situation closely. Our primary focus is health and safety.
We must consider various measures and regulations. The Port of Tromsø follows all advice and regulations from national and local authorities, and we do what we can to assist our customers, partners, suppliers and others.
For the maritime traffic:
Various authorities are continuously assessing measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus. The Port of Tromsø receives many enquiries concerning this, and it is important to emphasise that we do not have authority to go beyond the regulations that other authorities put in place.
To assist with finding relevant information, the following links may be especially useful for the maritime traffic to be aware of:
- Tromsø Municipality, including quarantine duty, visitors and the situation locally
- The Police, including denial of shore leave for foreign crews and border control
- Norwegian Costal Administration, including how ships, ports and municipalities should manage a suspected infection on board
- Norwegian Maritime Authority, including crew change and extended deadline for certificates
- Norwegian Institute of Public Health, including facts and advice about the virus
